What makes the door turn around just before it touches the slab?

The usual cause is the safety photo eyes. DASMA says the beam must sit no higher than six inches off the floor, and a dirty lens, pollen, a bumped bracket or a bent track can break the beam or knock the eyes out of alignment. If cleaning and realigning both eyes does not help, the sensor wiring or the opener's force setting is next.

How do I open my garage door when the power is out?
