Every photo here is work our own technicians did in this region — no stock images, no other company's projects. What you are looking at is mostly the four failures that dominate CSRA calls: matched torsion springs going back onto a two-car subdivision door, a corroded roller or cable coming off a door that spent twenty humid summers closed, a logic board replaced after a summer surge, and a section straightened or replaced after a door came off the rail. You will also see the older side of the region — single doors on Augusta homes where the frame has shifted and the track had to be re-plumbed to the building as it stands now. We photograph the failed part next to the new one because homeowners deserve to see what they paid to replace, and because a door that looks fine from the street can still be running on a spring that is done.

Will you show me the old part on my own repair?
Always. The technician puts the failed spring, roller, cable or board in your hand before installing the replacement, which is the same thing you see us doing in these photos.
Can a door look fine in a photo and still be unsafe?
Easily. A door can hang perfectly straight while running on a fatigued spring or a frayed cable. That is why our visits include a balance check with the opener disconnected, not just a look at the outside.
How to Read These Photos
A garage door tells you what is wrong with it if you know where to look, and most of these photographs are of exactly those tells. A broken torsion spring shows a clean gap of an inch or two in a coil you can see from the floor, which is why a technician can confirm it before he opens a toolbox. A failing lift cable frays at the drum end first, one strand at a time, long before it parts. A door that has come off its rail is almost never bent where the homeowner thinks: the damage is at the curve, where the horizontal and vertical track meet.
The wear photographs are the more useful ones. A roller that has stopped spinning develops a flat spot and starts skidding along the track, which loads the hinge it is bolted to and starts the next failure. A hinge worn at the pin lets one section sit a few millimetres out of line with the one below it, and that small offset is what eventually walks a roller out of the rail. A top section that sags in the middle is asking for a strut, not for a replacement door.
You will also see the same two counties repeatedly. Wide two-car steel doors on newer Columbia County houses, and narrower single doors on older Richmond County ones with original track and wood jambs that have moved with forty years of humidity. They fail differently, they are repaired differently, and the photographs make the difference obvious once you know it is there.
